Extractions / Oral Surgery

Despite all our best efforts, we do sometimes have to take teeth out if they have advanced dental decay. We offer local anaesthetic using Vibraject and have the right equipment and clean environment to carry out these procedures with the utmost care. With any extraction you may get some swelling and/or discomfort for a few days afterwards which can be eased with over-the-counter painkillers.

Wisdom teeth can often cause discomfort while they are erupting. They may have enough room if they are in the upper jaw but it tends to be the lower ones that don't have enough room and give problems. It is always better to try and prevent problems than have to take teeth out, so try to ensure you have very good oral hygiene and see our hygienists regularly.
